Open-faced Bagel Sandwiches

Looking for a beautiful, yet effortless breakfast that requires only 3-5 minutes of cooking time (a major plus when you’re always in a hurry like myself)? This breakfast staple is back, but this time it’s dressed up. Who doesn’t love bagels? Dill cream cheese, thick slices of tomato, cucumber and freshly topped dill top perfectly toasted bagels. A breakfast that requires zero kitchen skills, and only requires great, fresh ingredients, is one I want to eat often.

This meal couldn’t be simpler to put together and with busy mornings who has much time to cook? Exactly. There aren’t many of us. Make sure to buy the freshest bagels possible, and toast right before serving. I kept the toppings pretty simple, but go crazy with it! Pretty much anything goes!

Ingredients:

Bagels (I used Everything, Sesame and Poppy Seed)

Tomato, sliced

Cucumber, sliced

Dill cream cheese

Bunch of fresh dill, chopped

Salt and pepper

Directions:

  1. Toast bagels right before serving. I split bagels and placed them cut side up on a sheet pan under the broiler for about a minute.
  2. Spread cream cheese on bagels and top with tomato, cucumber. Sprinkle with chopped dill and salt and pepper.
