Summer Fruit Salad in a Watermelon Bowl

Surprise the summertime BBQ crowd with this colorful fruit salad, served in a watermelon bowl. Get creative with this traditional summer party dish, and add a touch of honey, lime juice and lime zest to add extra flavor to this backyard staple. Isn’t fresh fruit just the best? I know it’s always one of the highlights of summer for me, but I’m not talking about those frozen whipped topping fruit salads. This fruit salad leaves plenty of room for all the flavors of the fruit to shine without drenching it in tons of sugar, or random flavors.

This fruit salad is easy to make, and it’s something that will keep everyone happy. All it takes is a little honey and lime and great things can happen. For the perfect fruit salad, just make sure all of the fruit is perfectly ripe… that’s easy enough, right? Of course, you don’t have to serve it in the watermelon bowl, but it’s always a hit. Save this recipe because you’ve got to make it at least once this summer.
