Last week I had the opportunity to attend brunch at Plancha, the lakeside Cuban American restaurant at Tranquilo Golf Club at Four Seasons Resort at Walt Disney World Resort and boy was it fabulous! In typical Four Seasons style, it was so well executed from the Mimosa and Mary bar, to the buffet, to the dessert bar. I highly recommend it to locals in the area and to guests vacationing at the resort. Whether you’re taking a break from hitting the greens or seeking a retreat for a couple hours, Plancha offers a gorgeous setting to enjoy Cuban-American cuisine.
There are three different options for brunch at Plancha: a three-course menu with light bites from the buffet, choice of one entrée and dessert, plus soft drinks/juice and one alcoholic beverage; buffed only (excluding choice of a la carte entrée); and a la carte only. Not only that you can add on bottomless beverages, including two of my favorites. Mimosas and Marys for only an additional $18! I love that there is something for everyone here, and that they have so many different options.
The buffet includes salads, fruits, smoked salmon and bagels, artisan meats and cheeses, black bean hummus and vegetables, breakfast pastries and their signature guacamole with naan chips.
Entrees and a la carte items include a berry French toast, oatmeal pancakes, fried chicken and white cheddar waffles, Tampa Bay shrimp omelet and much, much more. There is also a dessert bar with an assortment of desserts to choose from, but my two favorites were the tres lechese cake and the guava roll.
Although I have to say everything was fabulous my favorites from the morning included the guacamole with naan chips, the berry French toast and the fried chicken and white cheddar waffles. They’re classic brunch items but with a Cuban twist, and packed with tons of flavor.
