Chewy Brownies

What’s gooey on the inside, crackly on top, and super delicious all over? Brownies – a crowd pleasing dessert. Everyone needs a great brownie recipe in their arsenal, and this recipe is just that. Filled with chocolate chips and a little instant coffee, this simple recipe is one you’ll make time and time again. I can promise you that!

Unsweetened chocolate and sugar create a rich, flavor, while adding melted butter to the batter results in the addictively chewy texture that makes this version an instant classic. Instant coffee will bring out the chocolate flavor in the recipe – so be sure not to skip it. These brownies freeze beautifully, so if for some reason you don’t finish the batch right away, store the rest in an air-tight container in the freezer and defrost when you’re ready to eat the rest.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup salted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup espresso powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cream the butter and the sugar. Add the espresso powder and mix until combined. Add eggs and mix until combined. Add the flour and cocoa powder and stir to combine. Add chopped walnuts.
  3. Transfer to a 9×13 baking pan lined with parchment paper. Bake for 30 minutes or until set in the middle .
