Wedding Shoes

You know what they say… Good shoes, take you good places! Who doesn’t love an excuse to buy a gorgeous pair of shoes? Well, your wedding is the perfect time. Whether you decide to go with a flat, a heel or even a sneaker.

I kicked my wedding weekend off with these sparkly flats. As you probably know by now, my married name is Boe, which made it the perfect excuse to buy anything and everything with a bow on it. I saw these shoes advertised on Instagram and just HAD TO HAVE THEM. Although a splurge, I think I’ll wear them for many years. I mean… how perfect is that giant bow? I felt like Cinderella.

For the morning of the wedding I didn’t want to walk around barefoot but I also didn’t want to wear an uncomfortable shoe. That is where these feather slippers came in. Unfortunately, I can’t find the exact pair online anymore but they were from Greece and looked great with my ivory silk nightgown and lace robe.

Part of my gift to my bridesmaids were these sparkly Kate Spade sneakers. At first I only ordered five pairs (one for each girl), but once they arrived… I just had to have a pair myself! I planned on wearing them for the reception but had so much fun during the reception, I totally forgot about them. I ended up wearing them on my honeymoon instead – and they looked totally fabulous with my jeans.

I debated and debated what pair of shoes to wear for the actual wedding and decided on these sparkly Badgley Mischka flats. I almost never wear flats (especially for fancy occasions) however, my dress was so poofy – I could have worn my running shoes with it. You never really saw my shoes, so I decided to be comfortable and wear flats.

Amazing style doesn’t have to mean excruciating pain—you can still look gorgeous while rocking a pair of comfy flats, like I did all weekend.
Walk down the aisle—or break it down on the dance floor in something you love and feel comfortable in!
