Spiked Peach Iced Tea

Quarantine cocktails, anyone? It has been incredibly hot in Florida and what better way to cool off than with a Spiked Peach Iced Tea? It seems like many folks are having virtual happy hours and social distancing parties these days so why not try a new beverage. As the clocks spring forward and we stroll optimistically towards better days, I’m excited about bringing my favorite spring cocktail out of hibernation. Although I can’t enjoy one just yet, I made a virgin one for myself and it was equally as tasty!

There is no shortage of spring cocktails but every year around this time I come back to Spiked Peach Iced Tea. There’s something about the refreshing flavors that combine to make one of those perfect spring/summer drinks. I’ve found that this classic rarely falls flat with a crowd. It’s light enough for easy sipping but spirit-forward enough to please even the pickiest of cocktail lovers.

I often make this much-loved cocktail for gatherings and so decided to try different kinds of tea flavors to not be the most predictable of friends. My love of peaches resulted in this riff on the classic recipe. Swapping out lemon for peach is a fun way to switch up the recipe.

Ingredients:

  • Ice
  • 2 oz. Vodka
  • 3 oz. Peach Iced Tea
  • 3 oz. Lemonade
  • 1/2 Peach sliced
  • 1/2 Lemon sliced
  • Fresh Mint for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a 12 oz. highball glass filled with ice, add the vodka, followed by the peach iced tea, then the lemonade. Garnish with fresh mint and enjoy! For more flavor, add a few peach and lemon slices to the glass with the ice.
