Whether it’s a surprise breakfast in bed or a relaxed brunch, there’s no sweeter way to say, “I love you” than with a homemade meal. One of my favorite Mother’s Day traditions is a Mother’s Day tea party, because it’s elegant yet relaxing. I like to serve tiny finger sandwiches that add a sense of charm to the party. Filled with dill cream cheese, thinly sliced cucumber, red onion and carrot, these tiny sandwiches will certainly add a festive touch. In celebration of mothers, and all of the special women in your life, host a tea party with delicate sandwiches and delicious teas this weekend.

1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup shreaded carrot
