Mother’s Day Tablescape

Celebrated on the second Sunday in May, Mother’s Day is the time to thank the moms in your life for all that they do. One of my favorite ways to shower Mom is to host an elaborate Mother’s Day brunch at my home and get the family together for a spring party. Bring the fresh look of springtime to your table with bright and botanical table linens like this one, covered in tart-sweet Meyer lemons and clusters of citrus blossoms.

Decorations That Bloom All Season Long

One of my go-to party themes for Spring/Summer is Meyer Lemon accented with feminine flowers and a pastel color palate. Set the table with a gorgeous lemon printed tablecloth and matching napkins. Fun additions like natural plate chargers, wooden napkin rings and green beverage glasses round out the look. Believe it or not, I bought these hydrangeas at my local grocery store. I simply arranged them in low square vases and placed three bouquets down the center of my table.

A Menu of Sweet Sips and Seasonal Produce

Pay tribute to fresh, bright spring produce with a no-fuss brunch served buffet style. Try mixing tangy lemonade with refreshing cucumber, aromatic lavender, or sour cherry for a fun twist on the classic warm-weather drink. Some of my favorite brunch recipes are Eggs en Cocotte with Cheddar Cheese Waffles, Fresh Herb Quiche, and Strawberry Spring Salad. Keep things simple, and do what you can in advanced.

Wishing you all a happy Mother’s Day weekend! What are your plans for the special day? Share them with me in the comments section below.
