Chocolate Crinkle Cookie

Who doesn’t love a gooey, chocolatey cookie encased in a generous portion of powdered sugar? These Chocolate Crinkle Cookies are just that, pure chocolate, sugary goodness. Another Christmas classic, and if it’s not also one of Santa’s favorites its one of my brother’s. When he’s home I have to hide these babies in the vegetable drawer so he can’t find them! (Ben sorry if you’re reading this). It’s an easy to make cookie, with a list of simple ingredients that you probably have on hand anyway. I need one of these, and a glass of milk STAT!


1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup confectioners sugar

1. In a medium bowl, mix together cocoa, white sugar, and vegetable oil. Beat in eggs, and then stir in the vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and stir into the cocoa mixture. Cover dough and chill in fridge for three hours.
2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Roll dough into 1 1/2 inch balls. Roll each ball in confectioners’ sugar before placing onto cookie sheet.
3. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
